Importance of Restoration

restorationOn April 12,  at the Oak Park Public Library, a panel of speakers addressed the Meaning of Restoration of Haymarket Martyrs Monument in Forest Park. Videos of these talks are now available on this site.

Speakers included Larry Spivack, President of the Illinois Labor History Society, Mark Rogovin, founder of the Chicago Peace Museum and editor of the booklet, "The Day Will Come,"  presented "Haymarket Revisited," the newly revised guide to Foresrt Home cemetery as a symbol of the Haymarket Tragedy. They were joined by Andrzej Dajnowski, conservator and artist, and Frank Lipo, Executive Director of the Historical Society of Oak Park & River Forest.
